Celebrations!

On behalf of these talented and hard working young ladies, I am honored to announce the Pure & Sure Step Team. PS Step was founded to build purity spirit and build unity through teamwork.  This goal was to be accomplished through stepping primarily, but also through community service, social and cultural,  activities,  often in conjunction with other campus organizations.  The PS Step Team consists of students in 7^th and 8^th grade.

The PS Step Team made its first appearance at the Annual Chicago State University Thanksgiving Throw down “Breaking the Stage”.  This event was held on November 27, 2013.  While each Sorority and Fraternity represented, The PS Step Team didn’t fall short.

The PS Step Team plans on performing at several events throughout the year - pep rallies, school parades, school spirit activities and functions as well as local competitions. 

This year we initiated our Internship Program and welcomed summer intern Kiara Booth.  Kiara came to the organization with zest and vigor to assist in any way possible.  Kiara's previous internships was with St. Harbor and Domestic Abuse which influenced her work ethic and professionalism in a way that she was a huge asset to the organization.  Kiara is a senior at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.  She is working towards her Bachelors of Science in Education and Minor in Social Services.
